Project Description

This straight eave, double pitch greenhouse with one gable end is attached to a home in Virginia. The greenhouse shares a wall with the home, and it has a door leading directly into the conventional construction space and to provide easy access to the greenhouse.

The greenhouse features Bronze Duracron frame finish and includes LoE 272 insulated glazing. It also includes an oversized aluminum, thermally broken, out-swing french door; six insulated casement windows; four ridge vents; a decorative aluminum extruded gutter; a decorative ball and spire finial; single slope skylight, gravity fed roof shades; and a cold frame that runs the length of the greenhouse on one side. Cold frames allow gardeners to start their plants earlier in the season and later into the fall months.
